Abstract
The Long-Term Care (LTC) Policy Explorer captures historical public care policies, care needs assessment components, and eligibility mappings for people with persistent care needs. The key dimensions of the Explorer are policy, country or state, and time. Select a policy and countries or states and then click View to see policy details. You can compare multiple countries or states during a single year or view one country or state’s policy changes across many years. The Explorer also includes LTC Assessment Components, which document how survey questions from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and its international network of studies (HRS-INS) are applied consistently across country- and state-specific care needs assessment items, and LTC Need Assessment Mappings, which document how these assessment components are applied to determine who qualifies for LTC in each country or US state.
